Sweet Pea lived on the streets of Phoenix for quite some time. For months, a caring soul worked to gain her trust, providing her with food and water, ice packs and frozen towels to keep her cool during the Phoenix summer. After 3 long months, Sweet Pea decided she was ready, and simply hopped on her savior's lap. We are so grateful to give this sweet little girl a place to rest her head while a forever home is found. Sweet Pea is still shy and slow to trust. She enjoys the company of other small dogs, and loves to cuddle once she feels safe with her humans. Sweet Pea is crate and house trained in her foster home. From what we are told, Sweet Pea was abused by teenaged boys during her 3 months on the streets of this particular neighborhood, and seems to have a fear of men.
