Let's talk about Bennett! He is a busy little guy whose only goal is to please his humans. Give him tasks and he will do them for you. It is important to understand the jack russell breed when it comes to Bennett. He is a loving, precious little creature who is always game to go where you are going. He understands the English language with eerie perception. Seriously, I told him to go wait by the door one day as I prepared for an adoption day, and he did. I told him to make me a cheese omelet one morning, and he did .... well, not really, but you get the picture --- this dog is SUPER INTELLIGENT., He also LOVES LOVES LOVES to swim. Do you have a ball? Throw it in the pool, day or night because Bennett is a fetching fool. He is a true water dog., Bennett will need to go to a home where humans understand they need to engage this dogs smartness and energy level. Bennett is definitely not a couch potato. That said, he is not overly energetic .... he loves sleeping on the couch next to his humans as much as the next dog. But he needs stimulation and exercise everyday so that he doesnt pick up bad habits due to pent-up energy., Bennett will make a great agility dog or disc dog. I am betting he will learn tricks instantly and perceptively with minimal training. In the 10 years I have been doing rescue, I have never met a smarter dog., He gets along with other dogs but can get a little growly in play. I just tell him to settle down and he does. We dont want him playing too roughly. He is also house-trained and crate-trained., Bennett is one dog in a million - I can say this because out of the millions of dogs with whom I have interacted, I have never met a more engaging canine.
