Animal Rescuers should NOT drive through Guadalupe. There are so many homeless, starving dogs there Bella's case. It was POURING down rain as I drove past the Guadalupe community, mentally putting my blinders on to the emaciated animals tied up in the front yards of many of the homes with no shelter from the violent weather. , And then it happened. A pitbull pup ran right in front of my car. I slammed on the brakes and slid to a stop. The puppy made it safely to the curb and turned to look at me. DANG IT! I made eye contact. I sighed, got out of the car and picked up the darling dog. She wiggled in my arms and I felt every bone in her body. She was hungry and she had a cold., Bella is now a frolicking, fat puppy ready for adoption. Her breed mix promises that she will be a very intelligent dog. This means her adopter must have experience as a pet owner. Bella will require the structured training that all puppies do. Like little children, baby dogs just love to test boundaries. The good thing is that pit mixes are smart and learn quickly. Gentle handling and kindness will ensure that Bella will realize her awesome doggy potential., She is a sweet little lamb who escaped an awful situation. Will you be her final rescuer?
