Betty Jo is napping comfortably on her foster mom's lap, happy to be warm, fed, safe and recovering from a very hard time on the streets, during which time she broke her leg. Betty Jo came to Paw Placement only because of the persistence of a dedicated volunteer. Seeing this sweet little dog with her back leg twisted uncontrollably only made this volunteer even more determined to rescue her and show her that life can be good. After undergoing medical care and currently wearing a lovely yellow cast, Betty Jo is starting to trust again. She knows she was lucky to be rescued and will wiggle and give kisses freely.
