Shepard Mix
Recently, I?ve had the pleasure to meet Superman ? Superman, the Shepherd mix, that is. He is a dog that deserves this name for so many reasons. Let me give you just a few: when we got him out of the pound, he had spent a total of THREE MONTHS there. Not only had he survived this ordeal, he came out of it unscathed, without even the slightest little temporary behavioral problem. As my foster dog, he continues to blow my mind on a daily basis. He rides in the car like a pro, walks great on a leash, is completely house-trained, and follows basic commands such as "sit", "come", "roll over" without hesitation. He exudes wonderful calm and gentleness and shows his affection by leaning against whoever is standing closest at the time. He gets along great with my other dogs and cats. With his gentle attitude and fantastic manners, I believe Superman would be perfect for just about any loving family.
