Sunny got his name because of his sunny disposition. This little grey and white fluff ball came to Paw Placement in sad shape. He had been mauled by a dog and his stomach was literally ripped open. The woman who brought Sunny to AZ Pet Resort for treatment stated that she noticed the mangled cat in her yard THREE DAYS EARLIER. Who knows what stroke of humanity led her to save the cat after allowing him to suffer for so long, but we are glad she finally got her act together to do the right thing. Doc at AZ Pet Resort appraised Sunny's wounds - they were bad, REAL bad. The poor kitty had maggots living in him. Doc reached to stroke this unfortunate animal and Sunny began to purr. After two surgeries and alot of tender loving care, Sunny has not only stolen the hearts of every humans with whom he has come into contact, he has found his forever home. Sunny's story is one of hope. He represents the atrocities that happen to kitties when they are left outside and unloved. He also is a poster cat for animal rescue!!!
