This little girl was too frightened to let anyone approach her and was surviving on food left out by some caring people in the community. At the time of her rescue, she was so terrified she plastered herself to the ground and had to be picked up and carried by the kind woman who brought her to us., Lilee has really come a long way since her rescue. Here is what her foster mom has to say about Lilee..... "She is a wonderful companion. She is potty trained and is very calm indoors. She is not the least bit needy and is very polite. She sleeps a lot and chews on her toys. She is not , destructive; if she does chew on inappropriate items such as rugs, shoes, or throw pillows, she is very easily redirected by "leave it", simply taking it away, and replacing with a chew toy. She listens well and is very smart. She does not jump on people and she only gets on the furniture that we let her on, which is one of the sofas and the beds. She is super soft and so cuddly. You can pick her up like a baby or hold her belly side up on your lap, and she is perfectly content. She bathes nicely; she will actually jump into the tub on command and sit fairly still. She's pretty good on a leash, but tends to pull a little. She needs more leash time. She rides well in the car., She is very athletic outdoors. She jumps over a 18" wall with ease and sometimes springs from it into the air as if she might fly. She likes to chase a ball and rip around in fast, tight little figure 8s. She hasn't mastered bringing it back yet, but will in time. She might be good at frisbee with some training because of her ability to jump, but she does not try to jump the fence. I believe that she would be an excellent student in an obedience class and probably would excel in agility training as she is really very quick! She does dig a little in the back yard when left , alone for long periods, but those holes had previously been filled with fresh dirt, so I'm sure they are just too tempting to resist! Plus, , those are gopher/mole holes anyway, so she might be digging for their scent; and she has not dug any fresh holes. I've seen her observing a , few neighborhood cats close to the fence. She just sat and watched without giving chase. She also does not bark a lot. I have only heard , her bark once or twice. More about LileeGood with Dogs
