History

Do you do much traveling? Then Ruby is the dog for you – she loves to ride, preferably right up front with you, where she can feel the breeze in those big hound dog ears, and watch the world go by.

She’s about 10 years old, but you wouldn’t know it, and neither does she. She is a little gray around the muzzle, but age hasn’t slowed her down a bit. She is agile and alert, and keeps busy sniffing out her surroundings. When it’s time to rest, she is content in her crate.

Ruby is great with people. When she came to us in June, she was quite choosy about dog companions and was very scary around cats. Now, however, she has met many other dogs without incident and is actually hanging out peacefully with a volunteer's cats. She could probably do well in a home with other animals, after careful introductions.
