History

Sierra was at the Humane Society and she was scared. The employees knew she was a sweet little girl but she trembled in her kennel and hid her face. This didnt help "sell" her to potential adopters. People walked by her and looked at all the happy, yappy dogs. Only the employees knew that when you entered Sierra's kennel, she would sidle up for affection, her tail thumping the ground to show her appreciation.

So, instead of moving her to the euthanasia ward, a call for help went out to the rescue groups. We were happy to help.

Sierra bonds deeply with humans. She is extremely smart, learns commands quickly and loves to exercise alongside her foster mamma. Sierra needs reassurance initially, but once she knows she is safe and loved, she becomes as loyal as Old Yeller.
Sierra loves the company of other other dogs, so we encourage adopters with other dogs in the home
Sierra would NOT do well in a home where she is the only dog, or left alone alot with no exercise or playtime, AND SHE CANNOT GO TO A HOME WITH CATS so please take that into consideration before submitting an application on her
