History
There are soooo many black doggies in the pound. People walk right by them as if they dont exist. More black dogs are euthanized than any other in Maricopa County. (Same with black cats, by the way). So on Kennel 205's last day, Paw Placement volunteers walked by. The black dog in the kennel went down into a play-bow and gave a good-natured whine. We crouched by the grate and instantly got kisses. We noticed that Kennel 205 had a stitch line down her ear-line. She had been stabbed by someone. Sooo sad! So, we spring her free. She jumped around, intoxicated by her freedom and kind petting. We named her Margarita. Margarita gets along with dogs and will make a great canine pal. She does not respond aggressively to small dogs so we suspect she will make great friends with felines as well. As we learn more about this little angel, we will post it here. So far, so good - Margarita is a great dog.
