There are pitbulls everywhere in Arizona. Backyard breeders stock up on dogs and breed breed breed with no accounting for lineage or genetics.

Pet stores sell these dogs straight from the puppy mills.

Walk the corridors of Animal Care & Control and the main full bred dog in those kennels are pitbulls.

Cali is lucky we found her. She was scampering around a Home Depot parking lots scared and lost. An animal-lover knelt to talk to the dog and the frightened pup leapt into his arms.

Paw Placement knows that pit bulls have a stigma. These are extremely intelligent and strong-willed animals. With the correct human, one who understands these wonderful creatures need structure and discipline, pit bulls make the ideal pets.

We will not irresponsibly adopt Cali out. She must go to a home familiar with pit bulls . . . one that understands as a puppy grows, he goes through behavioral changes, just as children go from giggly babies to teens who will test your boundaries.
