History

Sally's human mother loved her dearly. She rescued her from the pound and has cared for her for the past five years. However, Sally's human became very ill and had to go into hospice. Desperately, she searched for a safe place for her little dog. She loved Sally so much and we promise to find a doting home just as dear as Sally's first one. Sally is a sweet sweet dog. Initially she can be bossy with other canines in the home, but once she feels secure, she settles into the pack. She bonds deeply with humans. There is another element to Sally's story. When she was rescued those many years ago from the pound, her leg was wounded. She had been hit by a car. When Sally's human saw this little dog suffering, she adopted her immediately and had the leg set. It healed nicely. However, her front foot is mildly deformed. Vets have assured us that the deformation does not cause Sally pain and she will never need it fixed. It is the way it is. Sally runs, jumps and plays like any normal chihuahua would. Sally's owner represents a truly responsible animal lover. She adored her dog and when she could no longer care for her, she found a safe alternative. Sally is a pampered creature and is accustomed to being treated like a member of the family. She is a gentle soul and will make a wonderful companion for someone seeking a quiet canine with a heart of gold.
