History

Poppy is a very interesting kitty cat. She loves to assist you with your daily chores! Do you have laundry to do? Poppy will sit right next to you as you sort and fold it. Do you need to make dinner? Poppy will assist you in the kitchen, patiently laying next to you while you chop the broccoli. Do you need to make the bed? Say no more, Poppy will help you smooth the sheets. She is a great little helper to have. Did we mention that she gets extra industrious if you give her wet food? Yes, she loves her wet food. However, Poppy is not the most cuddly of kitties. She wants to be with her human at all times. She loves to be spoken to - she will go all squinty when she hears a gentle voice. But she is not a lap cat and does not enjoy being held. Poppy is the perfect companion for someone who wants a kitty pal . . . someone who will keep you company but is not necessariy a cuddle bug. She was left to live alone in a big house when her human father went into an assisted living facility. For months, she wandered the rooms of an empty house while people looked for a safe place for her. We think that Poppy needs a loving home setting to remember how to snuggle. She is a beautiful cat who is a bit persnickety. But she is lovely nonetheless!!
